Skybreaker Racing was founded in 2019 by ultrarunner and adventurer Ben Mitchell along with Yuba Gold 50K. Having grown up in Nevada City, CA, Ben’s intent was to create an event showcasing the beautiful South Fork of the Yuba River.

After BABU 2026, we’ll be taking a break from putting on events until BABU 2027. All is well, but life gets complicated. Race Directing is a lot of work, and we just need a break. Your understanding is much appreciated.
