Both distances will have a cutoff time of 6:00 pm.

Elevation gain is approximately 3,300 ft.

All Aid Stations will be well-stocked with water, electrolytes, sodas, energy gels and/or chews, salt, bananas, & various other typical snacks.

Finishers will also receive a yummy finisher meal (vegetarian option). Typically we do burgers.

Please also note that, in the interest of being environmentally friendly, this is a cupless event, so be sure to carry a reusable cup or water bottle.

Course Data

The course will be well marked but markings have been sabotaged in the past. It is strongly recommended that runners have the course map downloaded in advance of race day to their phone or other GPS device.

Swag

Finishers will receive t-shirts (if ordered) and beautiful, full-color medals at the finish line. Additionally, awards will be given to first through third place male and female finishers.

Camping

We'll have Bear Valley Group Campground booked for the weekend. There is running water, but no showers. You can pay for camping when you register. If you've registered and decide afterward that you'd like to camp, you may do so, in theory, by editing your Ultrasignup registration. If this isn't working for you, feel free to reach out.

Restrooms

There are pit toilets at the start/finish and the adjacent Sierra Discovery Trailhead, as well as at Fordyce Aid.
